Taco cat spelled backwards?

I was trying to guess the spelling of a very common name, taco cat. When I thought about it backwards, I got a result that was close to my guess. I don't remember the spelling exactly, but I remember thinking that the name could be spelled cat. Then I looked in the dictionary and it says that it is spelled like tacos.

What do you think? Does the name sound familiar? I don't mean to offend. I am just curious.

My answer:I had heard about taco cats, but had never known anyone with one.

I asked my wife, and she said the name would be spelled cat. I tried to find a site that would tell me how to spell the name backwards. I was unsuccessful. I looked at www.etymonline.com, and that site said that tacos is from a Latin word, but they were unable to tell me how to spell the name backwards.

I searched to see what others thought, and came up with a site that said that the word is not spelt cat but tacat.

My answer:I had no idea what taco cat is.

I read this site http://www.criswell.com/taco_cat.htm, and the site says that the spelling would be cat, just like my wife said.

What do you think?

What's even stranger is that it appears that the spelling taco cat does not actually exist. It just looks like it, but it doesn't.

What do you think?

Is the name taco cat similar to taco man, taco dog, and taco horse?

My answer:Taco is a real place, but I don't think I have ever heard the name Taco Cat. It sounds weird, but like I said, I don't know anyone that has ever met anyone with a taco cat.

My question: I need help with this. Do you believe this story: http://www.museumpost.com/tacocat/

My answer:I think it is more believable than anything else. To this day, I have no clue what the site said about that story, but it seemed to me that the people that wrote that story really believed it.

Can you explain why you think that?

Do you believe that the name Taco Cat came into existence when an old person thought that it would be neat to name a cat after a Mexican food dish?

Can you explain why you think that?

My answer:No, I don't think that. I think that the cat and the owner were named that by the owner's wife, because she wanted her cat to have the same name as her. The name was never spelled TACO, though.

So you don't believe that the name of Taco Cat was a reference to the Mexican dish?

My answer:I was young and naive. I didn't even realize that the owner and the wife were the same person, which was revealed when I went to their house and met their three kids. My assumption was that the name of the cat was named after the person who owned it, and who the cat was named after was revealed when the cat went to live with the owner's wife. And that's what they said in the story.

What do you think? Did they pick the name or did the owner just think it was a cool name?

I have to say that the cat didn't look like a Taco Cat to me. It looked like a really lazy cat to me. And it didn't really look like a taco or a toonie or any kind of food to me.

So what do you think?

My answer:I think the owner bought a lazy cat that they named Taco Cat, and thought it was a cool name. But they could just as easily have named the cat something like Puss the Fat Cat or Snubby the Fat Cat, and no one would have thought that was weird.

That's not to say that they're racist and think that a Mexican cat is an offensive thing to have. In fact, it's more likely that they think that, but decided not to use that name for fear of being labeled racist.

What do you think? Do you think they picked a name or did the owner just think it was a cool name?

I've always wondered this...when I see an animal in a pet store that looks like a food product (and has the packaging or logo on it), do people think they're buying a product for their cat or are they just buying an animal?

And I'm curious if this is a regional thing or not...I don't know a whole lot about pets and pet stores. I don't see a whole lot of them where I live in the South, but I know pet stores are common there. And I know they're just a dime a dozen in the Midwest and Northeastern states.

I like your style (even if you are from Georgia, lol). So I am going to try to do something like you.

"I've always wondered this...when I see an animal in a pet store that looks like a food product (and has the packaging or logo on it), do people think they're buying a product for their cat or are they just buying an animal?"

I think some of them just buy an animal (although they may also buy a food that is based on an animal (for example, chicken meal is a pet food ingredient). But they often times take a chance and order a pet food and find out that they don't really like it. I've been that many times.

I can't imagine people buying a dog just because it looks like a pet product. To me, that's ridiculous.

P.S. I agree with what you've said about animals being the best pet.

P.P.S. If you ever want me to do a post on pet products and pet food...send me a PM and I will consider it.

I was at PetSmart recently looking at their food products. I was wondering if it was like pet food and if pet foods weren't made to be eaten, then why did they make it? I thought it was for when you had
